Android L - Upgrade List (Motorola,Samsung,Sony,Google Devices,HTC)

So yes android L is going to be released and ofcourse now the question arises “Will my phone get the update ?” Yes after some googling and getting to use some common sense I have done this predictions  it may or may not be right so yea don’t worry if your phone is not in this article

Google Devices :

Just trying to start from the basics :P

Nexus 5

This basically includes all the Nexus Phone and tablets and Google Play edition devices, if you have these devices you really don’t need to ask me for this you will be getting it, not only just the update but you don’t have to wait for the manufacturers to fill it with crap apps which you will never be using it though :P

And, if you have the feeling that you can jump into the wilderness, you can also try the “L Preview” and a warning message aswell L Preview is no way close to be used as a full-fledged OS , As far as I have used though.

Going backward Nexus 4 may not get the update major reason it’s a phone 2 years old (Which is like ages back in this tech world :P ) ofcourse I may be wrong and tablets except Nexus 7 2013 and LG G Pad will not get for sure

Final Verdict all Google play editions will be getting for sure

HTC Devices

Considering HTC, it’s very easy to predict they are indeed “Quietly Brilliant”. Anything after HTC one M7 will get the L Love anything before that no way you’re getting it. Because, they don’t have the resource to do so

LG Devices

Looking into the previous history of LG, which is very less prominent to giving updates my prediction would be G3 and G2 and optimus pro maybe getting the update. But have to make a point LG has been doing a real good job of giving away some class phones in the past quarter.

Motorola Devices

No please I don’t have to predict go to Motorola website and you will know which will and which will not , anyone who grabbed a deal in flipkart, congratz people “All hail Flipkart” :P :D

Samsung Devices

Depending on the specs only Samsung S5 and S4 will be getting and definitely not immediately after the release of L. But surely after Samsung edit all the UI and things. But am not sure if they will be able to do much this time because Android KitKat UI things where not edited much in the previous release

Samsung Mid-range and Low-range phones, you got to sit with the lovable older versions until the phone kills itself

Sony Devices

Sony has been a prominent provider of support for android and they are the ones who are working hard to get the things done. Aswell they are a part of the Android Dev Team. So with all these things, update for Xperia Z1 Z2 Z3 and Z aswell is sure but for other phones am sorry people I don’t think its going to happen because the phone misses a lot specs

Everything Else

I have very less predictions towards those, MMX maybe getting a couple of devices updated and oppo, karbonn, and anyother A to Z company please wait for the release

So on a baseline, I guess most devices would be updated and any dvice below 1gig Ram has very less opportunity to have L installed because on a simulator 512k Ram “L Preview” failed to start so its npt going to happen
